The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has declared the initiation of Phase II of the Grid-connected Rooftop Solar Scheme. The scheme is being implemented in the states by local Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOMs). The ministry has set an ambitious target of installing one crore solar systems. The Government of India has given the name i.e. PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojna.

How To Apply for a Loan For Solar Panel Under PM Suryaghar Yojana?
Step 1
First, you need to check your eligibility whether you are eligible under all eligible parameter
Step 2
After checking your eligibility you should obtain a quotation from a certified and reputable solar panel provider. The provider should be approved by DISCOM.
Step 3
After that, you have to apply for the loan on the Jan Samarth Portal i.e. https://jansamarth.in portal. It is mandatory.
Step 4
After you apply Bank will call you about your request for a loan and obtain original documents from you for scrutinized purposes.

After scrutinising documents, bank officials visit your home where the solar panel has to be installed to check the eligibility of the place

After finding all satisfactory details from you for a loan of solar panels Bank sanctions loan and directly disbursed to the Service provider account by way of a demand draft or NEFT as per the quotation submitted by you.
What is The Eligibility For a Loan For Solar Panel Under PM Suryaghar Yojana?

- Applicant must have cibil score above 680
- Applicant must have rooftop rights on which the installation is proposed

Other Terms and Conditions
- Subsidy under PM SURYAGHAR YOJANA to be claimed by the borrower by providing loan account number for credit of subsidy amount in the respective loan account.
- ONLY individually manufactured solar panels/modules (both solar cells and modules shall be made in India) shall be used for the installation of the rooftop solar plant.
- All applications are to be routed through the Jan Samarth Portal mandatory using the URL https://www.Jansamarth.in.
- Disbursement is to be made directly to the DISCOM-approved vendor
- Only new plants and machinery shall be allowed for installation and shall not be allowed to shift anywhere once installed.
- Quotation for the Solar system to be purchased should be issued by DISCOM empanelled vendors only and the genuineness of the same has to be verified by a branch from the web portal (pmsuryaghar.gov.in).
